Past Productions of Freckles
From it's initial workshop performance in May 2014, Freckles has run from strength to strength. It began with a one-day workshop at the Sophie Cameron Centre for Performing Arts, Royal High School Bath, featuring talented performers between the ages of 7 - 19. 'Freckles' was written by Mel Lawman with music by Matt Finch, and was a huge success. Development continued through the following year with a fuller production staged the Royal High School, Bath, and masterclasses awarded with Claude Michel-Schonberg of Les Miserables.
August 2015 saw a much larger show staged at the Kingswood School, with direction by Kate Nash, featuring many of the same talented young people that are bringing the Freckles Effect to Edinburgh this year!
The current production, 'The Freckles Effect', sees over 25 talented young performers from Bath and the surrounding area bring this story of a troublesome orphan girl, who is just a little bit different from the rest, to life! The Freckles Effect is a story about belonging, friendship and courage in the face of prejudice and danger, with toe-tapping original music, and fantastic choreography!
